The Local Food Van comes with the Local Food Van App. On this application both local businesses and consumers can sign up. On the opening screen of the app everyone can learn about how the Local Food Van works. By making use of infographics the explanation is kept short and meaningful.
Signing up as a local consumer has a lot of benefits for both the consumer and the Local Food Van organization. The local consumer has a complete overview of the planning, food selection and locations the van visits. The deals of the day are displayed and the consumer gets to
make a reservation for products to pick up later. That gives us an insight into what products are popular and which locations are popular. Nevertheless, customers who spontaneously come across the Local Food Van are also able to purchase products.

When a local business decides to join our product service system, they need to sign up in the app. In that
way we can get in contact with them and create an agreement. Afterwards, they will have an overview of their business progress (amount of products sold, statistics), planning and notifications on the app.
Upon opening the app for the first time, an instruction window appears, where the buttons are highlighted to guide the user and show them around.

After that the basic log in and sign up page will be shown. Before you sign up, you can also see how the local food van works and where it stops.
Clicking on the location markers will also show how the location is called and at what day and time the van will arrive.

The local consumer explanation quickly shows what the customer is signing up to.

On the contact page, the info of the company can be found and contacted if there are any problems.

Products
Reservation
When the customer is logged in, they will be greeted with the home page. Here the weekly and daily products, the map and their reserved products are shown.

The menu in the top right corner also allows for more options like contact and my account.
When pressing on the daily products, the products page opens with all the products that are currently in the van.

When a product is pressed, the customer can see what it is, where it comes from, what it contains and they can reserve the product.
When reserving, a location has to be selected.
​
Once the location is selected, the customer will be brought to their reservations, where they can add and delete products.

Home page
The home page of the local business owners shows recent notifications and their progress.
Business data
When a product is selected, an overview is given of how the product is selling, so the owner is able to adjust their prices and amount of products.
