Future Plans Product Realization
On this page, we lay out the needed steps to realize this Product Service System for in the future.
Contact Local businesses
This is one of the most important future steps as the participating local businesses are a cornerstone of this product service.

We must contact the local businesses we have identified, and finalize our partnerships. This step includes determining food/product types and weekly stock estimates each business would like to sell though the "Local Food Van".
Contact Local Municipalities
While we have already identified which permits we need, we still have to apply for them though local municipalities.
This step is important for getting the van on the streets but, while we there should be no issues with the approval, it may take a while for the documents to be finalized by the municipalities. As such this step should be implemented before other steps so that, once all other steps are completed, the documents should have been finalized.
Develop the Application
Technical Drawings and Production Plan
While we have created a structure for the design and functionality of the application, we will need a professional to code and maintain a final version. Costs for this have already been included in the price estimation
As it is a proprietary design, technical models with exact measurements for the modular interior must still be made. This includes technical models for injection molding the containers and electrical specifications for the cooling system.

A production plan must also be further developed and implemented. This plan would also include carpentry for the support walls and wiring for the cooling system.

Buy the Van
Firstly we will have to contact Vic Young Ltd. from which we will buy the box van. When contacting the company we will also have to provide specifications regarding how the back of the van should open.
Along with this step, we will also have to set up an insurance policy for the vehicle. Costs for this have already been included in the price estimation
Install Modular Interior
Once the van is purchased, we will have to produce and install the modular interior as per design specification. Costs for this have already been included in the price estimation
Set-up Storage Space
Once the van has been ordered, we will have to finalize our decision regarding storage space and implement the necessary steps in order to have it ready by the time the van has been fully modified. Costs for this have already been included in the price estimation
